Performance Plus Revolving Drums are flat tom-tom drums which have no shell. There are 3 drums 6", 8" and 10" in diameter with a single head on an aluminum frame.Performance Plus Revolving Drums can have user defined variable pitch which allows the player to adjust the tone or pitch by rotating or turning the head to change the tension of the drumhead which will change the sound. Changing the pitch allows total control of the sound produced and are used to extend the tom range of a standard drum kit.
3 individual revolving toms are attached to a mounting bar which can be tuned quickly by rotating the head, which sits in a threaded metal ring. Rotation raises or lowers the tension hoop relative to the rim, which increases or decreases the pitch of the drum by increasing or decreasing the tension of the drum head.
Performance Plus Revolving Drums are often used by timpani students, as they have a very similar sound, are not as loud and expensive as timpani, and do not require as much room space.
Performance Plus Revolving Drums include an adjustable height extra reinforced chrome finished steel mounting stand with heavy duty double braced tripod legs and no slip rubber footing. Can be raised to sit down or stand up height.
