It provides the percussion for the popular Punjabi folk dance called the Bhangra. The shells are manufactured in the northern Indian State of Uttar Pradesh. Locally grown Mango Wood is used. After transporting to Punjab, the shells are professionally checked, levelled and polished. 1 goat skin / 1 synthetic heads are fitted to these drum shells. Cords and rings tune the goatskin head; nuts and bolts tune the synthetic head. Dhol we are providing here is a Natural color Mango wood dhol. It has been made from mango wood. It has been decorated with coloured phumans to give them attractive look. Dhol is played by carrying over the neck and hence a nylon strap has been provided to fulfill the purpose.
